Primitive Decorating Ideas

Today I am going to give you some very easy tips for primitive decorating ideas in your home or office.  For starters, rose hips are very easy to find and can sit in a bowl or basket and then just add some of your favorites ~ perhaps some primitive bowl fillers or even some rusty jingle bells.  Check out the bowl of rusty jingle bells tied with assorted homespun bows and lying in a layer or rose hips.

Primitive Decorating Ideas

That is an inexpensive and oh so easy way to decorate.

Another primitive decorating idea is to keep a bowl of bowl fillers according to the season or holiday.  Use the same bowl, basket or vintage metalware and just change the inside of the bowl with ornies such as hearts for Valentine’s Day, shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day, eggs or bunnies for Easter, flags for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, pumpkins and the like for Halloween….get the idea?  I love making bowl fillers.  Be sure to check all of my bowl fillers and ornies out in my Ebay Store.

Easter & Spring Decorating Ideas and Merchandise

Folks, springtime will be here before you know it.  Why not take a moment and think about something that reminds you of spring.  For me, spring time brings thoughts of  flowers, Easter baskets and eggs, bunnies, birds, and lots of vibrant colors!!!!  Spring time is my favorite time of the year and with this in mind, I am actively creating more ornies and bowl fillers.  Some of the bowl fillers I will be working on will be primitive bunny rabbits, Easter eggs in lots of floral, calico prints, baby chicks, tulips, sheep, cows, dogs and cats and so much more.  I hope to add a new e-pattern too in the near future.  Is there something you are looking for in a bowl filler and can’t find?  Send me an email and tell me what you’d like to see.  I love to try to create new things and love the challenge.   Be sure to check out my Ebay Store for lots of simple and inexpensive decorating ideas to place here and there in your home!!!!

Where to Find Fabric for Your Crafts??? I’ve Got the Answer!!!

Do you get tired of spending way too much money at the fabric stores for material?  I know I do!!! ~~  unless I happen to find a great bargain.  I have found that some of the best fabric is right in your home, in your attic and some is right in your closets!  By this, I mean have you ever had a shirt that you hardly wore but you just loved the material?  Why not cut it up and make some bowl fillers with it?  How about that baby blanket or old bedspread that you are just hanging on to?  Use it to make crafts with!!!!  I think it’s great when you can recycle a treasured piece of clothing or a bedspread that might not be nice enough to place on your guest bed, but if you cut into the fabric and use only the good and salvageable pieces, you hold on to a piece of that treasure.  I love to experiment with different fabrics.  Sometimes I take a trip in my attic and just look for things I have stored up there I no longer use and cut into the fabric for wonderful handcrafted decorative items!

Has you baby grown up but you’re still holding on to his baby clothes from years past?  Use them for your crafts.  You will be amazed what you can do if you let your creativity begin!!!

Bedspreads, dust ruffles, shirts, skirts, baby & children’s clothing, cloth dinner napkins, old cotton tablecloths, blankets, ~~ you get the idea.  What a great way to recycle those items you’ll probably never use again anyway.  Make a craft today!!!
